we got zimmatic, my grandpa has had dry land corn up until 2005 and he has been farming sence the early 60′s, he still cant beleive it pumps out 900 gallons a minute!!

about 100 grand from start to finish (well, pump, underground, 3 phase power, and the steel). But trust me a zimmatic is cheaper and more reliable over time.

I’ve been working on and selling these systems since 1984 so I could probably give you soon history. Not sure how you want to reach me though

maniv100 May 1, 2010 at 1:21 pm

hey to any experts on the pivot irrigation system i need to do a huge paper for history on it and i need an interview on the subject so if anybody wants to post a video explaining what it is or how it works or both that would be awesome thank you

How many set of thunderbirds do you want. I got 10 or 12 for sale!!!!!

zags7676 May 1, 2010 at 4:01 pm

thats why pivots suck, so buy thunderbird wheelines instead.

bellboy…
im not sure i get wat you are saying
all irrigations have there good and bad parts…
seriously we get more problems with valley and rienkes around here than zimmatics…
field commander…
theres alot more to an irrigation than to just put it up and exspect it to go…
you haved to wire it drill a well (which you never know how long thats gunna take) pipe it up and the list goes on… and with lots of work its hard too do.but i agree it shouldnt take seven months.

bellboy2501 May 1, 2010 at 5:47 pm

This crew is very good. I work on Valley and other competitor machines for 26 yrs and I don’t get near the service calls on a Valley that I do on all other brands. Zimmatic may come in second but the computerized panels they use leave a lot to be desired. T&L’s are another so so brand and never buy into the concept that they water more evenly. Sorry but when the temperature goes up and down the machine speeds up and down also.

Yeh go Zimmatics! My old man just put up one on our dairy farm near Oamaru, New Zealand and it’s brilliant. Keep up the good work!

steeda28 May 1, 2010 at 6:47 pm

haha you are dreaming if you think that Zimmatics are better than Valley pivots, i own both and there is no comparison. I guess they are better cause you sell them? …The only reason i have a zimm is cause it was on purchased land and it will be gone soon…..

cwf8906 May 1, 2010 at 7:30 pm

i work for a irrigation company in central illinois. we sell lindsay pivots zimmatic irrigations. sry to say but valley irrigations are not very good. yea those guys put it up fast but it wont last as long as a zimmatic. theres so many more things for a lindsay pivot. and reinke plz haha

raffaeli15 May 1, 2010 at 8:10 pm

2nd best crew out there, next to 4 R Const…

traxxasnitropede May 1, 2010 at 8:18 pm

I can remember when we had our pivot installed.we used reinke. so far its holding up fine. its doing good on the hills to.

MTFarmFamily May 1, 2010 at 8:58 pm

You guys can come build me a pivot anytime. If you liked this video, checkout “frankenclyde.”

canadianhonker May 1, 2010 at 9:20 pm

This crew is good, i have seen then build first hand! We build T-L’s and can get them up in a day and ahalf which is pretty good because they have more steel in them and are more complicated to build. When you have a few nebraska dealers selling 50 T-L’s a year it keeps us busy! I would hate to work with that electricity though i know of a couple highly educated pivot technicians that died working on those sparkomatics! Go hydraulic!More even water pattern, less track, why wouldnt you buy a t-l?
