Leaks in the joints?

I am trying to install a water filter on the network. This has a 3 / 4''de female threaded inlet and outlet to I am enclosing brass connectors with male thread. The problem is that is still weeping slightly despite the use of a bunch of PTFE tape. I disassembled, reassembled and replaced the PTFE tape around half a dozen times, but I can not seem to stop the mourn. The filter is plastic (Tho 'seems to be very good quality or is too expensive anyway), so I'm a bit worried that if I squeeze too, might crack. I have no problem with the bronze gear brass connector that connects to the brass, so I see what I'm doing wrong. The supplier says Teflon tape at work (I asked if a rubber or fiber washer any help )…. ideas? Is there a sealer I could get maybe? Thanks (…. some people seem to have nothing better to do than write answers silly, referring to the first two official name is .. Why?)
