What is the source of potassium potential?

I'm testing a steam reforming catalyst, water supply through a vaporizer to obtain superheated steam to vaporize a feed isooctane. The vapor mixture is fed over the catalyst. Recently my steam supply line completely covered with solidified potassium compounds, and the group has no idea where he might have been potassium. The water is ultra pure (18.2MΩ cm), the pipe is all stainless 316, the isoocatne is grade reagent, and the tracer gas supply UHP N2. Does anyone have any idea? The water is only a jar of high density polyethylene, flowing through an HPLC pump with a 15 micron filter at the output. Has anyone seen the pollution of potassium before I can help?

Check out filters. If they are glass, we mixed various salts in them, maybe a little dust. This would have given a lot of filters to happen though. I do not think myself but check it out.
