How long can you keep the canister?
My fish have a case of fungus. I'm trying now with the drop in the tablets. To use these pills have to remove the carbon filter, I guess so the carbon filter does not filter the drug. It is said to give the drugs four days to work, and if the fungus has not completely disappeared for 20-25% water change and add another dose. I plan on doing a second dose. One reason is simply that I am sure work, and second that I have read a few places that people do a minimum of seven days treatment. My question is, is it certain that the carbon filter out for so long? One likely than 8 days. Should I put it back in a day or two between the two fungal treatments. Or that would extract any remaining product from the first dose, even water exchange in the middle, you have to be there to help the second dose?
This happened to me! I left the filter without any problem. My treatment lasted for 10 days. I had a filter plate is fine. I did two treatments as well and not wait for each other. I did two back to back. Hope this helps.
